The 448th Gorleston parkrun once again saw the women outnumber the men, but only just at 51pc.

Star personal bests were reached by Paul Lyon, on his 53rd run, Holly Bunn on her 60th and Claire Williams on her 69th. These were three of new PBs overall.

There were 18 first-timers on the first cold run of the season which reduced the number of finishers to 252.

Midfielders this week were Malcolm Stedman-Jones and John Bound. Fastest women were Holly Bunn and Kathryn Head while the fastest men were Tyler Bilyard and Paul Lyon. Fastest under-11 was Archie Middleton.

Thanks go to the 25 volunteers because they also braved the lower temperatures without the benefit of running.

Further thanks go to the workers who have been repairing all the paths along the cliffs which makes it safer for the runners.

A reminder that the milestone 450th run will be on December 2.
