World Cup football fever comes to Market Gates Shopping Centre, Great Yarmouth on Thursday, May 31.

Between 11am and 3pm, children’s entertainer Ian Marchant, and dressed as a football referee, will entertain children with his ball and flag skills – juggling, balancing and spinning, and showing lots of skills.

From 11.30am to 3.30pm, youngsters will be invited to enter a lucky dip and to pull out a card which will feature the football strip and the flag of one of the 32 teams participating in the World Cup.

The child will then have the flag of that country painted on their face before they pose holding the football strip card to have their photo taken.

And there is also a free football whistle for the first 150 children taking part.

All photographs will be posted on the Centre’s Facebook page for people to look at and at the end of the World Cup tournament, those sporting the winning team’s flag and holding a card featuring the strip will win a top of the range football.
