Four year old Lhasa Apso Bertie is to play the role of Sandy, the stray dog befriended by runaway orphan Annie in Dusmagrik Young People’s Theatre Company’s forthcoming musical.

He is pictured with his co-star Isobel Wilson, 12, from Caister who is playing the lead role.

Director Mary Carter said: “We all fell in love with Bertie as soon as he came through the door and more importantly he is very friendly. His first rehearsal went well so we’re confident he will be great as Sandy.”

Annie will be on at the Pavilion Theatre. Gorleston from Thursday. November 23 to Saturday. November 25 at 7.30pm nightly with a matinee on the Saturday at 2pm. Tickets are available from the theatre box office on 01493 662832 or book online www.gorlestonpavilion.co.uk
