A Norfolk singer’s dreams of winning The X Factor have come to and end.

22-year-old Leon Mallett from Lingwood, near Acle, was eliminated from the show on Saturday, November 5 after coming last in the public vote.

As part of Louis Walsh’s team, the young singer was initially sent home during the Judges’ Houses stage of the competition, but was brought back as one of four wildcard contestants.

Saturday saw Leon perform a rendition of Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, a song choice he told judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh he wasn’t keen on.

The performance put him in the bottom two, alongside group The Cutkelvins.
