I fear the shenanigans at that beautiful house Koolunga in Gorleston will result in it being demolished.

Why would anyone want to poison and kill trees except to send a menacing message that they can do what they want. Of course, we don’t know who has done the damage, and I am prompted to ask are the police aware, surely it is a criminal offence?

But I have some sympathy with them; how would they go about identifying who has done the poisoning?

I would have though the owners of Koolunga would have automatically installed CCTV around the premises anyway; to safeguard those who live in the flats there and to safeguard this old building which has much history and heritage.

Nevertheless, we must take care to protect Koolunga and the Lookout opposite. The Lookout was given to the borough for safekeeping and that too must never be built on. The borough council is only the guardian of the land.
