A team of mechanics in Great Yarmouth drove 2,000 miles across Europe to raise funds for a surgical robot.
Over five days, the team from Runham Garage took on the Screwball Rally, leaving the UK from Kent and crossing the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and France in a 30-year-old Mercedes rally car.
The team drove up to 800 miles in one day, camped in tents and travelled the continent beginning in Kent then onto Amsterdam, Hamburg, Esbjerg, Hanover and Calais before returning to the UK.
The team raised £2,412 for the James Paget University Hospital Charity's Surgical Robot Appeal. The £1.6m robot will allow for complex surgeries to be performed through small incisions.
It will also provide enhanced three-dimensional vision to allow surgeries to be performed with more precision.
Consultants, nurses and other health professionals from the Paget have taken part in half-marathons and other events to help raise funds for the robot appeal.
