At the first meeting of the newly elected Deanery Synod held at St Nicholas Minster in Great Yarmouth on May 22, Rural Dean Canon Chris Terry presented a bouquet to Mrs June Baker to mark her many years of service to the synod.
She has been a member of the synod, representing the parish of Caister on Sea since the inception of Deanery Synods in the early 1970s. For many years she served as synod secretary, and more recently, has been lay chairman for over 15 years.
Her term of service as chairman has come to an end with the synod electing David Pearson of Great Yarmouth Parish as its lay chairman for the coming three years. Picture: SUBMITTED
