It’s simple really, Great Yarmouth, to rejuvenate your town you need to look back to your heydays. I have been holidaying in your lovely place for more years than I care to remember - over 50! I came as a child and continue to have two long weekends a year, spring and autumn, to enjoy the sea, beach and landscape. I no longer come for a lengthier stay as I cannot abide all the awful loud arcades with bingo callers you can hear 200-300 yards away - even from the beach. What have you done to yourself Great Yarmouth? You are tacky, and yet you have the most beautiful architectur along the seafront obscured by lurid colours and general tackiness. My advice to the people who live in Yarmouth is don’t look at eye level but stand back and gaze at the architecture of the once lovely hotels and guest houses along Marine Parade - obscured by the gaudy old-fashioned seaside look of the 1970s. You have to change and take a closer look at your seafront, that’s why people come to the seaside - to see the beach, and the sea, not tat! A W WALTERS,
