We have heard about the Samson and Hercules of Norwich being painted pink, and of the Yarmouth two bears being restored. I wonder how many people remember the three chefs from outside Purdy’s bakery in the market place at Yarmouth?
These 3ft 6ins high fellows are in pristine condition and reside inside on my garage wall. Although I had an offer for the USA for them, being of solid English oak, I think they would like to stay in Norfolk.
And who knows, perhaps they may once again grace the front of an upmarket eaterie!
