Voltage Television are making a short film for one of their prime time programmes for the BBC, looking at the history of the fish finger in Britain.
They are keen to speak to anyone who remembers the launch of fish finger production at the Birds Eye factory, particularly anyone who was involved in developing either the cod version or the original ‘Herring savoury’.
Were you one of the workers consulted on the name of the new exciting product? Or were you working at the factory when production began? Do you have any photographs of your time at the factory?
The production company would be very keen to speak to you, to help shape the film and to best document this important time in frozen food history.
