Re the letter, July 4, from Mr David Tubby concerning the whereabouts of swimming trophies and relevant photos. I have managed to unearth a photo of my elder brother Kenneth holding the Ulph Cup which he won for the 1,000yd swimming race in 1937.
I also had the honour in ensuing years of holding this magnificent trophy which was by far the most impressive cup I have competed for either at home or abroad and I trust it is in safekeeping.
The Shearley Cup I believe is a Great Yarmouth Swimming Club trophy.
