MORE than 100 guests and staff were evacuated from a seafront hotel in Great Yarmouth in the early hours of this morning.

MORE than 100 guests and staff were evacuated from a seafront hotel in Great Yarmouth in the early hours of this morning.

The evacuation began at around 4.30am at the Carlton Hotel when two small fires were discovered on the first floor.

Two fire crews from Yarmouth quickly dealt with the blazes and people were allowed back in the building.

Police and fire investigators are still at the scene looking into the circumstances of the fires which are being treated at this stage as possibly suspicious.
