Roads in Caister will be closed for a total of 16 weeks while footpaths are reconstructed and some kerbs replaced.
The work will begin on or shortly after Monday, March 30 to carry out what the county council say is essential maintenance on St Hilda Road/Close, Seafield Road North and South. It will involve reconstruction of the footways on each side of the carriageway and replacement of some kerbs.
The council say it will be necessary to close St Hilda Road/ Close, Seafield Road North and South in two phases.
Seafield Road North will be closed in conjuction with St Hilda Road/Close maintenance work from March 30 to May 18 and Seafield Road South will be closed May 18 to July 17.
A local signed diversion route will be in place during the closure and access to properties within the works will be maintained at all times.
Emergency services and bus operators will be informed so alternative arrangements can be made.
A spokesman for the county council said: “The council recognises the closure of Seafield Road may cause some disruption.”
The total work will cost £138,000.
