19 in court charged after mortgage fraud

NINETEEN people appeared at Norwich Crown Court yesterday in connection with mortgage fraud allegations. They are all charged with the offences of either obtaining a money transfer by deception or furnishing false information.

NINETEEN people appeared at Norwich Crown Court yesterday in connection with mortgage fraud allegations. They are all charged with the offences of either obtaining a money transfer by deception or furnishing false information. Some of the cases relate to defendants from the London area and their cases were adjourned by Judge Peter Jacobs for a further hearing.

There are also six defendants from the Yarmouth area who all pleaded not guilty to the charges. They are: Matthew Cox (30), of Bramble Gardens, Belton, Russell Dunn-Barry (50) of North Drive, Yarmouth, Timothy Hoult (53) and Vanessa Hoult (49) of London Road South, Lowestoft, Said Ismail (57) of Buxton Avenue, Gorleston, and Gursharm Sahota (56) of Beach Road, Gorleston. Their cases were also adjourned to a later date and their trail is expected to be heard on September 29.
