YOUNG animal lover Nathan Williamson, of Fleggburgh, near Great Yarmouth, has been crowned PDSA's Pet Protector of the Year for such work as collecting goods for the charity's Norwich shop.

YOUNG animal lover Nathan Williamson, of Fleggburgh, near Great Yarmouth, has been crowned PDSA's Pet Protector of the Year for such work as collecting goods for the charity's Norwich shop.

As part of his prize, the 11-year-old has been invited to Romford PDSA PetAid hospital for a VIP behind-the-scenes tour tomorrow.

Nathan, who attends Acle High School, was awarded the title after earning the most points in a year in the PDSA children's club award scheme, which rewards a variety of activities from doing sponsored events to entering competitions.
