PUPILS and staff at a Gorleston middle school are celebrating after competing in a trio of events over the weekend. Children from Herman Middle's after school chess club competed in the UK Land Chess Challenge at City School, in Norwich, and three pupils made it through to the Giga final in Manchester next month.
PUPILS and staff at a Gorleston middle school are celebrating after competing in a trio of events over the weekend.
Children from Herman Middle's after school chess club competed in the UK Land Chess Challenge at City School, in Norwich, and three pupils made it through to the Giga final in Manchester next month.
A member of staff along with three pupils took part in the Race for Life at the Norwich Showground raising money for Cancer Research UK.
And two pupils took part in the Individual National Championship baton twirling competition held in Portsmouth. Amy Wheeler-Smith achieved a 2nd and 6th place and will be competing in the International Cup in Limerick in August.
