WORK will begin on Monday to repair and resurface the High Street at Caister-on-Sea.

The £160,000 works will extend from the traffic signals at the Norwich Road-Ormesby Road junction to about 25 metres south of the Tan Lane mini-roundabout and will take two weeks to complete.

During the resurfacing operations it will be necessary to close the High Street in sections during normal working hours, 7.30am to 5pm.

Access to properties and businesses will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time although the county council say it is inevitable there will be some disruption. For all through traffic, a fully signed diversion via Caister Bypass will be in place.
