Great Yarmouth’s real ice rink is open and ready for skaters to have fun on.
The rink in the Market Place was opened at noon by deputy mayor of the borough Malcolm Bird who said it was an honour to carry out the proceedings.
Elsa the princess and children from Great Yarmouth Primary Academy were among the first people to don their skates.
The rink is being sponsored by the Town Centre Partnership, Market Gates, Proserv, Palmers, Norse and the Great Yarmouth Mercury, and media partner The Beach.
It runs until January 2.
