A Gorleston cat-lover has launched a plea to reunite a lost feline with its owners this Christmas, after it ended up outside her home.
Amy Pickering contacted the Great Yarmouth Mercury in hope of find the owners of a ginger cat, which has ended up on her doorstep near East Norfolk Sixth Form.
In her post she said the cat has “a pinkish collar on with no details” and that she “feels so sorry for the poor thing.”
In a message to the Mercury she said: “I don’t really know how I go about this. I just want the cat to be safe.”
The cat is ginger, with white paws and a stripy tail.
In her post appealing for information on the cat’s owners, she added: “I love cats more than anything and just want to help it get home safe. It can’t be nice being shut out in the cold all night for days.”
