A car was found in a ditch in Mill Road, Great Yarmouth, in the early hours of this morning after a driver ‘swerved to avoid an animal’.
The car was empty when police arrived on the scene about 4.30am, but officers traced the occupants and later found them safe and well.
A spokesman for Norfolk Police said: “Enquiries got underway to trace the occupants and they were located safe, well and largely uninjured, although one had sustained scratches.
“It appears the driver may have swerved to avoid an animal in the road. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.”
Two fire crews from Yarmouth attended the scene at 5am to assist police.
