A CAISTER teen is our region’s master of all apprentices, having won a top award. Lily Middleton, 18, has been named Intermediate Apprentice of the Year for the Central Eastern Region, after a year as an apprentice at the James Paget University Hospital. The award is granted by the Apprenticeships National Awards 2012, and Lily is now in the running for the National Apprentice of the Year Award.
Lily said: “I am overwhelmed. I am particularly grateful to Emily Eade for supporting my application for this award.
“I’d definitely recommend doing an apprenticeship as I really enjoy it.”
Lily is celebrating a double win, as the apprenticeship was so successful the hospital gave her a job, as a therapy assistant. She is continuing her learning by taking an advanced apprenticeship in allied health profession support.
The NHS in Norfolk and Waveney was also recognised by being highly commended in the Employer of the Year category.
