AN EMPLOYEE with a movie company will face a crown court trial over claims he stole 60,000 from his employer.
Melvin Welton, 61, of Jasmine Gardens, Bradwell will face trial over the three counts of theft between 2006 and 2010 while he was a financial manager with Screen East, the regional screen agency promoting media in the east.
Denis King, prosecuting, told Norwich magistrates on Friday the total amount stolen was believed to be in the region of 60,000.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction and granted Mr Welton unconditional bail to appear before the same court on February 25.
