AS is tradition now, the Belton and Browston Citizen of the Year awards were presented at the annual parish meeting to various residents for their work in the parish.
This year's recipients were Ron Boreham and Wilma Fuller for work at the John Green Institute; George and Linda Hadden for their fundraising Christmas lights display; Andy Jenner for his commitment to the village; Sandra Rudrum for fundraising help; Eileen Webb for work at the JGI; and Malcolm Webb for his work as voluntary caretaker at the JGI. The awards were presented by various councillors, Also nominated, but unable to receive awards as they live outside the parish were Mrs Gloria Swan and Mrs L Bartram.
