A trio of new lighting columns in Gorleston's seaside conservation zone are drawing complaints.

The modern columns appeared close to Pavilion Gardens and the Ocean Room and are said to jar with other period-style street furniture, the bandstand and theatre.

It is understood a complaint has also been made to Norfolk County Council about brightness and glare.

Stephen Earl, conservation officer at Great Yarmouth Borough Council, said he would look into it.
