A former BT telephone exchange has failed to connect with any buyers after it was withdrawn for sale at an auction house.
The 107sq m building in Martham, near Yarmouth, had been put up for sale in May in Norwich's Auction House for between �12,000 and �18,000.
However the fenced off brick compound failed to attract the reserve price - resulting in auctioneers then asking for anyone interested in purchasing the site to contact them directly.
Yesterday, Auction House confirmed that the telephone exchange had now been withdrawn for sale by its owners, who live near the Martham area.
Although the former exchange was in an isolated spot and was connected to water and electricity supply, it could only be used as a storage facility under Yarmouth Borough Council planning regulations.
In May Robert Hurst, auction surveyor, told the EDP that the exchange off Common Road was a good buy as it has lovely views and is in a peaceful location.
It also has off road parking and underground room for storage.
