A BRADWELL teenager is one of the stars of a Sky TV reality show following his work in London and at the famous Pineapple Dance Studios.

Lewis Smith, 19, graduated from Performers College in Corringham, with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance Theatre. While a student at the college, Lewis had some opportunities, getting to perform at corporate events in London, as well as in The Wonderful World of Oz pantomime in 2007, for which he became assistant choreographer in 2008.

This year he has also been doing some modelling work for fashion companies and performed at the MTV Amsterdam Festival in front of 20,000 people as part of a band.

A former pupil of The Dancers School in Gorleston, Lewis is currently working on the reality show for Sky TV and is also set to do another pantomime, this year in Gravesend.

Despite his busy schedule though, he has found time to come back to Gorleston and work on a dance piece for some of the girls he used to dance with at The Dancers School. Students auditioned to be included in two numbers for their forthcoming show, one of which is Lewis' piece which he has choreographed to the Britney Spear's track Hot as Ice.

Principal Jayne King said: “It's been great having Lewis come back and be working with us. I'm very proud of what he has achieved in the three years since he went to college, and it's really good for the students here to see what a difference three years of full-time vocational training can make, as well as having to work at a more commercial style of dance than they usually do.”

Only four years ago, when he was still a pupil at The Dancers School, another ex-student Gemma Daniels, who also went away to Performers College, came back to choreograph a Riverdance-style piece for pupils at the school and Lewis danced the male lead in the show at the Britannia Pier and also at the Theatre Royal in Norwich.

Despite his hard work on the piece, Lewis will be unable to see it performed as he will be rehearsing in Essex ready to fly out to perform in cabaret at the Niagara Falls Casino for a Brian Rogers contract.

Written in Dance will be performed at the Britannia Pier Theatre on October 16 and 17 at 7pm. All proceeds will go to Children with Leukaemia.
