FRITTON and St Olaves Waveney Forest Action Group, campaigning to stop contentious quarry plans, is organising a scarecrow festival next Saturday to run alongside the annual Fritton village fair.
It will be held in Fritton village hall and there will be all the usual stalls, refreshments, an auction, and a prize giving by MP Tony Wright for the best scarecrow. The event is from 1pm to 4.30pm with free admission and parking at the Decoy Pub, New Road and Fritton Church. People are invited to make a scarecrow and just bring it along at 1pm for judging.
