A GREAT Yarmouth man was selected as part of the 96-man Guard of Honour inspected by the Princess Royal during her visit to HMS Collingwood last month.
A GREAT Yarmouth man was selected as part of the 96-man Guard of Honour inspected by the Princess Royal during her visit to HMS Collingwood last month.
Able Seaman Scott Kerr, 23, joined the Navy in October 2005 at Norwich Careers Office. His parents, Michelle and David, live in Yarmouth.
Scott said of the Guard of Honour: “It was a great opportunity to represent my service and my home town and also to meet a member of the Royal Family.”
Scott's ambition is to pass his course and to see more of the world. Engaged to Lauren Foreman, heenjoys football, golf and travelling in his free time.
HMS Collingwood is the HQ of the Maritime Warfare School which also incorporates the Defence Diving School, the RN Physical Training School and Phoenix Training Group, all in Portsmouth.
