The teams, all from offshore sector, took part in the competition to raise cash for the Big C cancer charity.

Organiser Charlie Matthewson was inspired to hold the event after one of her close friends was diagnosed with the disease.

Players and spectators all enjoyed the occasion held last Friday at Lynn Grove High School.

A total of eight teams took part, with winners on the night Tyco beating Halliburton A 3-0 in the final.

The third place match between had to be settled on penalties with Certex edging out Metnor in the shoot out.

Other teams taking part were Halliburton 35+, PDL Gapton, PDL Vanguard and Halliburton B.

Each team had had to pay a �50 entry fee a bucket collection was held on the night donation and money from refreshments boosted the total.

Charlie, who chairs Halliburton social group said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to all the teams that took part and the Halliburton sports and social club for their hard work.

“We appreciate the donations and support from families and friends that turned up on the night and Lynn Grove for allowing us to use the facilities.”
