A DRUNKEN woman who called police in distress shouted at residents who watched the commotion from their living rooms, a court heard. Dawn Laverick, 27, of Barkis Road, Great Yarmouth, pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly behaviour when she appeared before the town's magistrates on Friday.
The court heard that on March 20 the defendant had called police during the early hours in a “distressed and incoherent state”. When officers arrived on scene at Peggotty Road, she was warned of her behaviour but continued to shout out.
Representing Laverick, Annette Hall said her client was in a very distressed state and coupled with alcohol had “reacted in a very unacceptable way”.
Laverick was fined 70 and ordered to pay total costs of 75.
