A BROTHER and sister with mental health difficulties went on the rampage in Great Yarmouth market place smashing windows and causing more than 8,000 damage, a court heard yesterday.
Paul and Kathryn Redgrave smashed windows at the Co-op store and at a phone box.
Norwich Crown Court heard Kathryn Redgrave encouraged her brother by telling him it was “brilliant” every time he smashed a window.
Paul Redgrave, 19, of Southtown Road, Yarmouth, and his 22-year-old sister of Havelock Road, Yarmouth, both admitted criminal damage last November 6.
Kathryn Redgrave also admitted an offence of affray on October 23 when police were called to her address after she threatened to commit suicide and was found holding 12 knives.
Douglas Mackay, prosecuting, said she threatened to stab the police officers and threw one of the knives at them.
In a struggle to disarm her, one officer received a cut which had to be treated at hospital.
After hearing that both suffered from mental health problems, Judge Alasdair Darroch gave them each a 12-month supervision order.
