Plans for the latest sections of Broads flood defence work in the 20-year project being carried out by Broadland Environmental Services are being recommended for approval at a meeting of the Broads Authority's planning committee on Friday.
Work on a 200m stretch of the River Bure, on the north bank downstream from Acle Bridge, will involve rolling back the existing floodbank, but building a piling wall close to the electrical testing building and Bridge Farm.
Work including the strengthening and rollback of floodbanks is also planned for the right bank of the River Yare between Langley and Hardley Dyke.
As well as protecting property and farmland, the scheme is also seen as being a boost for nature conservation.
