Three fire crews attended a blaze at a ground floor flat in Great Yarmouth this afternoon.
Two crews from Yarmouth and one from Gorleston were called to Middle Market Road at 5.38pm.
Peter Harris, Yarmouth station manager, said: 'It was a fairly standard fire in the lounge. No-one was in the flat at the time. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus sets, hose reel jets, a hydrant, thermal image camera and a ventilation fan to deal with the incident.'
It is believed that neighbours had tried to put out the blaze before crews arrived.
Norfolk Fire Service is investigating the cause of the blaze, and the flat has been sealed off following the fire. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said it was on standby for the blaze, but no-one was injured.
