Brave head shave from teenage girl

The student, who attends East Point Academy in Lowestoft, shaved her head to raise money for the Little Princess Trust, a charity which helps provide free real hair wigs to girls and boys affected by hair loss as a result of illness.

Hannah's determination to help others increased when her father's girlfriend was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy, losing her hair in the process.

She said: 'I decided I wanted to shave my hair because from a young age I've just wanted to help those in need.'

'My dad's wonderful girlfriend was diagnosed with breast cancer, and due to chemotherapy she lost all her hair and this is what inspired me. She looked so gorgeous like this and I thought about it for a while and finally decided I'll shave my hair for her.

'By doing this I hope it helps young people like me realise it doesn't hurt to do something for good people in need.'

Through collections in school and online, Hannah raised more than £1,000 for the charity, which will also receive the shorn hair for use in wig making.
