A mobile chicken wing business will be taking over a popular seafood restaurant's kitchen for two weeks in the new year.

Wingin It' will be available for takeaway and collection from the Octopus restaurant in Great Yarmouth from Wednesday, January 4 to Monday, January 16.

Chicken wings with flavours from around the world, a new crispy chicken thigh burger, fries and sides will be available to order from the King Street restaurant.

Wingin' It owners Zach Pieri and Kyle Crux say they hope this temporary residency encourages more people to come and try them out.

Mr Pieri said: "We are taking over the kitchen in the Octopus for 12 days.

"We have teamed up with Ben (owner of the Octopus) who is giving his chefs a holiday in January so it works well.

"And if all goes well we could be back.

"One of the issues with being mobile is that we are all over the place. We always have people messaging asking where we will be next.

"So it will be nice to have a permanent base for two weeks."

Wing flavours will include Don't Be A Jerk with Caribbean spiced rub, Thai Me Up, Baby with Asian-inspired aromatic glaze, Zing Zing Hoizin and Yeehaw barbeque wings.

A new homemade chicken thigh burger with Monterey jack cheese, ranch dressing and burnt onion jam will also be available.

Sides include Spice Me Up fries, chorizo jam, coleslaw and saucy pots.

Wingin' It was launched in September with its first pop-up location at the Tramways pub in Gorleston.

Since then, Mr Pieri said business has been going well but now they want to take things "to the next level".

He added: "The first few months have gone really well.

"Every time we open up we have great feedback and a good turnout.

"Our long-term vision is to build the Wingin' It brand and to have a permanent location in Great Yarmouth or Gorleston.

"We just want more people to try our wings."
