Fundraisers have been set up to help a man rebuild his business which burned down in a fire.

The blaze destroyed a bike shop on School Road in Ludham on Tuesday, February 28.

It started in the business and was spreading to a domestic building before it was stopped by firefighters.

The shop was owned by a man named Robin Bates who has been described as a "true legend" in the village.

"Batesy has helped many people over the years and I for one feel we should try to help him to rebuild his home, business and life," she wrote on her fundraiser's Go Fund Me page.

So far, she has raised almost £3,000. The target is £10,000.

Another woman, Laura Goodwin, is also looking for donations to help Mr Bates "get back on his feet".

She said: "Batesy has always been a stand up bloke and a massive part of the community."
