Visitors to Great Yarmouth will have even more chances to gain eye-catching views of the town's Golden Mile.

For the third year running First Eastern Counties' Clipper Cabriolet open-top buses will be returning - just in time for the Easter holidays.

And due to the success of last year's open-top routes, they have been extended to a six-month period this summer.

From Sunday, April 2 until the end of September there will be different timetables in place over the season, with buses operating every day along Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile.

Buses will also operate between the town and Hemsby via Caister and Scratby.

Frequencies will vary from a minimum of every 30 minutes along the seafront during the quieter spring weeks, to every 15 minutes in the main summer season, with a bus every 20 minutes during the spring school and bank holidays and throughout September.

Journeys along the coast to and from Hemsby will operate hourly in the early and late season, and every 30 minutes from the May half term to the start of September.

David Jordan, senior marketing manager at First Eastern Counties, said: “After introducing the service for the first time in 2021, and then increasing it substantially in 2022 due to the popularity of the previous year, we are really excited to be able to make 2023 our biggest season yet, with buses this year operating daily over a six-month period.

“We continue to be delighted at the popularity of our open-top service which we’re sure will once again be a real attraction and a fantastic, fun addition to the seaside experience, with our great value range of ticket deals for passengers, including the biggest discounts for families and groups enjoying a holiday or day trip in the resort."
