A leisure centre in Bradwell has been visited by a councillor following concerns about low temperatures of the pool and showers.

Great Yarmouth Borough councillor Daniel Candon posted on Instagram that he had visited the Phoneix Leisure Centre, based on Widgeon Close, after being told by "many residents" about the low temperature of the pool and showers.

Mr Candon said: "Concerns about the pool temperature have been expressed to me by multiple residents, who felt that it was too cold to swim in.

"While many leisure centres have had to consider lowering their temperatures during this time, there is an added issue with the boiler system.

"I met with senior management at the leisure centre, who were very helpful, and was assured staff are working hard to have the problem rectified.

"Bradwell colleagues and I are also scoping all options which may be available to the local authority to help with this."
