A Gorleston landmark will host a day of musical celebrations for the coronation of King Charles III.

On Saturday, May 6, the Gorleston Bandstand in Pier Gardens will be the stage for musical acts to mark the occasion.

The Pavilion Theatre - which last year announced it and Gorleston Rotary Club had partnered with the landmark - is working with Norfolk Music Hub, Suffolk Music Hub, and local cultural education partners Enjoy and Peach to offer a "memorable" coronation celebration.

Performances will take place throughout the day, alongside a screening of the King's coronation at Westminster Abbey.

Organisers are inviting soloists, groups, ensembles and choirs, dance troupes and performance acts aged 25 and under to join in the all-day musical extravaganza.

This comes as the bandstand hosted a season of weekly music concerts last summer. The free Sunday concerts return this year for a longer season.

The concerts return to the bandstand on Sunday, May 14 and run every week until the end of September.
