Almost 700 people visited a Great Yarmouth landmark building as its past, present and future were celebrated.

Once a prominent part of the town's fishing industry, the Ice House on Bridge Road has received £50,000 to be transformed into an arts and cultural centre.

Managed by Out There Arts, the Grade II-listed building will be used to support the town's burgeoning cultural scene. The restoration is expected to be complete in the next two years.

At the open weekend, the Ice House welcomed hundreds of people to watch a new documentary celebrating its history and giving an overview of the space's future.

Filmmaker Jordon Thomas Sendall said: "It's such a privilege to have the documentary premiere within the Ice House itself.

"It was fascinating discovering the untold story of this curious thatch-roofed building that I've driven past thousands of times - and it's made me think about other stories that Great Yarmouth still has to tell."

The event was attended by nearly 300 people on Saturday and 400 on Sunday.
