A smokehouse kitchen in Gorleston is launching a new 'levelling up' menu to celebrate its first anniversary.

Bad Boyz opened in Bar 1 last summer and is coming up to its one year anniversary.

The team behind the kitchen are releasing the new menu with hot dogs, loaded fries, burgers and more on May 6.

Co-owner Megan Spillings said: "We've had a really good run and such good feedback so we want to level up with our new menu.

"We want to showcase what we do best - smoked meat done in a southern style.

"We have a new chef and he's making all of our sauces from the juices of the smoked meats.

"It's all homemade and authentically smoked.

"We're hoping to use as much local produce as we can and be eco-friendly."

The new menu has been put together to showcase the best of Bad Boyz.

"We're really passionate about this cuisine so we think the menu is amazing," Ms Spillings said.

"It's something new and fresh. It sets us apart.

"Our smoked meat is really popular

"The star on the new menu is the pit boss platter which gives people the chance to try a bit of everything.

"It's our signature sausage, brisket, ribs and sides.

"We've included some of our customers favourites from the old menu but new stuff too."

The owners have big plans for Bad Boyz and street food vendor Wingin' It.

"We have an exciting future ahead," Ms Spillings said.

"We've got our sister company Winging It at Junkyard and were planning collaboration events between our companies.

"There have also been lots of inquiries about catering events."

Bad Boyz at Bar 1 in Gorleston is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm to 9pm, until 10pm on Friday, Saturday from 1pm to 10pm and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
