A road flooded and a supermarket closed after more than a month's worth of rain inundated the coast.

According to reports, more than 70mm fell overnight on Wednesday, July 5, around Great Yarmouth and Caister.

The average rainfall for the area for July is 62mm.

The downpour caused flooding on Bridge Road in Great Yarmouth. This was reported to Norfolk County Council and a tanker will be attending later today to pump out the water.

The weather also led to the temporary closure of Tesco on Yarmouth Road in Caister after rain leaked through a ceiling at back of the building.
