A musical extravaganza produced entirely by young people is set to take the stage at a theatre in Great Yarmouth.
Encore: Reprise will take place at St George's Theatre on September 2.
The idea for the show started with a conversation between two teens in the canteen at East Norfolk Sixth Form College.
Ella Hand, 18, and Anya Robinson, 17, had listened to many musical theatre playlists while studying for their exams and wondered if they could combine their love of performing arts and challenge themselves to put on their own production over the summer holidays. Ella was particularly keen to tread the boards one last time at St George’s Theatre before leaving home to study acting at the Northern School of Arts this September.
The friends wanted the show to be produced and performed entirely by young people.
They were also keen to raise money for the local theatre they love so much and fund further opportunities for young people to learn and perform in Great Yarmouth.

Auditions took place in June and many young people came to the theatre and gave it their all.
Since then the cast has been rehearsing at least twice every week at St George’s, learning about singing, choreography, costume and lighting.
Ella said: "It’s been a massive learning curve for both of Anya and I to stage this show. However, we are excited and proud that local young people will have this opportunity to showcase their talent, as the result of a small idea by two young people."
Anya added: "We can’t wait to stage our show and hope that local people will turn out in force to support the cast and help raise vital funds for this wonderful local theatre."
