A bid for the development of a further 104 homes in Bradwell has been deemed unfit for purpose by several nearby residents.

Signs have been placed around streets in the village, notifying residents of the plans for two new development sites on unused land.

The plans by Wellington Construction, which include 29 new homes to be built on the land by Kings Drive and 75 houses with a through road from Ollands Road and Meadowland Drive, have currently received nine objections from neighbours and one letter of support.

The resident added: "This would be a danger to the current residents and more so the children of Ollands Road that play on the front lawns and pavement."

Other residents have objected to the expected increase in traffic, lack of parking spaces in the area and added "danger" while construction is carried out.

"With a new primary school being built on Bluebell Meadow, shortly there will be education space.

"With James Paget Hospital rapidly expanding, the need for housing nearby is essential, and this is only a 20-minute walk away."
