Caister bus driver raising funds for MND by walking barefoot

Bus driver Simon Taylor aims to raise funds for a charity which assists people with motor neurone disease (MND), the condition which led to his stepdad's death.

Less White. Picture - Submitted (Image: Submitted)Inspired by the determination his stepfather showed in his fight against MND, Mr Taylor is raising funds for the Norfolk, Norwich and Waveney Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

"The goal is £500," said Mr Taylor.

"And I aim to deliver the funds to the association by walking barefoot."

Despite being active throughout his life, Mr Taylor said his stepfather "did struggle" in the end.

"But the MND Association supported my mum and my stepfather with various bits of equipment, support, carers, nurses communication and were just fantastic," Mr Taylor said.

"I just want to give something back."
