A Great Yarmouth casino has introduced a new app to help tackle gambling addiction.

Launched alongside Safer Gambling Week (November 13 – 19), Grosvenor Casino on Marine Parade has combined new technology with a more personal touch thanks to its new intervention tool, which alerts trained team members on players’ gaming habits and transactions.

Known as the 'Risk App' and developed by Grosvenor Casinos, the technology has been rolled out in Grosvenor’s 51 venues nationwide.

Customers can then be invited to a private conversation about their gaming activities in a discreet and comfortable place.

There are four steps of safer gambling advice to ensure a fun visit to the casino. These include:

  • Gambling is not a way to make money
  • Don’t be afraid to take a break at any time
  • Set a limit on the time and money you spend
  • Talk in confidence to a Grosvenor Casinos Player Protection Champion when you need it
