A 30-year-old man was due in court today following the discovery of a cannabis farm in the Northgate area of Great Yarmouth.

Around 90 cannabis plants were seized from a property on Alderson Road following a police raid on Wednesday.

Growing and cultivating equipment was also discovered at the address.

Rustem Damarja, 30, of Alderson Road, has been charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis.

After Damarja's arrest, Sergeant Shane Carroll of Great Yarmouth’s Safer Neighbourhood Team said the cannabis farm discovery came as a result of collaboration between police and information received from people reporting to Crimestoppers.

The discovery of the Alderson Road cannabis farm marks the third such grow found in the past month, with one found in Main Cross Road on the seafront and a 150-plant grow being found in School Road Back.
