More than £24,000 has been raised by property professionals to help fund shared flats for young vulnerable people in Great Yarmouth.
The money will be used by YMCA Norfolk to convert a disused care home in the north of the town into secure and affordable homes for 14 young people, for up to two years at a time.
The funds were raised through a new campaign called Pledge150, launched by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and property industry charity, LandAid.
This is one of the first projects to receive funds from the initiative.
Tim Sweeting, chief executive of YMCA Norfolk, said: “The grant from LandAid will help us make a bigger impact in the lives of many more young people.
“We will be able to remove the blockage for those who are able to move on to more independent accommodation and ensure that more young people get the support they need.”
