A venue on Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile is hosting a huge party for New Year's Eve night.

The Empire will feature live music, DJs and a huge countdown with confetti and balloons - as well as headline act Dirty Havana.

They are one of the most popular classic rock bands from Norwich and have appeared throughout the year at the venue as part of their live music events.

The band bring a modern energy to classic songs from Queen, Elvis, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John and many more.

Jude from Dirty Havana said: "The Empire is one of the best venues in the county, top sound and lights. It's like a real concert.

"We cannot wait to rock a full house and see in the new year."

There will also be DJs appearing during the evening and the Empire's downstairs venue The Viper Room will provide alternative music from the main stage and also the after-party spot to dance late into the night.

Project director Jack Jay said: "This is one of the best nights of the year, and I believe the biggest New Year's Eve party around.

"Half of the tickets have already been sold, so we are urging people to grab them now for an amazing night." 

The Empire's street food vendors will be serving food til 9pm with a selection of gourmet burgers, pizzas and veggie Mexican dishes on the menu.

This will be the final night of the Empire's season with the venue set to close until March 2024. 

The venue will be open throughout the day on New Year's Eve, then will be ticket only from 8pm.
