A seaside business will be trialling a coffee and cake home delivery service with a new van. 

Barista Buoy, based in South Marine Parade, Gorleston, is launching its new model next week in tandem with its more permanent "tuk-tuk" kiosk. 

Owner Jack Carter said he would be trialling the opening times at the usual beach location and seeing when afternoon deliveries should take place.

From Monday to Friday, he would like to leave Gorleston Cliffs at around midday and then deliver to homes in Belton, Bradwell, Gorleston and Great Yarmouth.

He said this change is "vital" to sustaining the business through the winter months when footfall on the beach drops.

High winds and heavy rains from a handful of storms since last September have made matters even worse. 

"It's going to take a while to find our feet on this," he said.

"We know during the summer season and also school holidays footfall changes so we will adapt to this but I'm hoping with your continued support it will be a great success."

The tuk-tuk will remain at South Marine Parade on weekends.
